In The Treatment Of Adult Adhd, what Is The Difference Between Using Ritalin Or Adderall?

What would make a Dr. choose one over the other as the drug of choice to treat?

Adderal is a combination of two forms of amphetamine, so it has a longer half life lasting longer in the body, it supposedly has a lesser abuse potential.
Ritalin is a drug that is similar to amphetamine, it has a shorter half life. Meaning it last a shorter time, you have to take it more often about three times a day versus adderall once a day.
Some people just don’t do well on one or the other, so doctors may have a prefered medication to choose right away or might have to switch some people from one to the other.
